If you are looking for ways to give back to the community, these are some ideas...
Thank you!

Pioneer Family Success Center (FSC) and parent organization EmPoWER Somerset implemented the "Pioneer Cares Program."
The program consisted of collecting donated assembled care packages as well as individual items to assemble care packages. We delivered them to the local hotels that were hosting our medical professionals due to COVID19.

Pioneer FSC stepped into help after the effort was started independently
by the FSC Community Relations and Volunteer Coordinator, Jessica Dale.

Thank you everyone that participated in this program in any way!

The test before our community today is not the spread of the coronavirus COVID-19.  Instead, it is:
How will we as individuals, organizations, and corporations respond to COVID-19?

At United Way of Northern New Jersey, we have chosen to act on behalf of those we know are most vulnerable in such a crisis — ALICE and those in poverty — who couldn’t afford basics
even before COVID-19 hit.

You can take action, too! We ask you to join us in this fight for ALICE. We believe everyone can act today to Give, Advocate or Volunteer.

  • GIVE: First, please give to our ALICE Recovery Fund. Contributions to the Fund will go toward ensuring the stability of our region’s social service infrastructure and closing gaps in needed assistance for ALICE families and those in poverty. Your donation will stay local to address needs in our community!

  • ADVOCATE: Help us spread the word about the Fund and advocate for ALICE during this crisis by following us on your social media of choice, including on FacebookTwitterInstagramLinkedIn and using #ALICErecovery and #HelpALICE.

  • VOLUNTEER: Take a few minutes to join a virtual food drive or volunteer to call seniors and people with disabilities to ease their feelings of isolation. We have several virtual volunteer opportunities you can access by clicking here.

Finally, you can find a list of official resources to get information and help on our website by visiting: UnitedWayNNJ.org/Covid19

As always, we cannot do this without you! Give today. Together, we are stronger. Together, we will fight against the impact of COVID-19 on ALICE and our community.

Thank you,

Kiran Handa Gaudioso
