The Department of Children and Families  (DCF), Division of Family Community Partnerships, funds a statewide network of over 57 Family Success Centers as "one-stop" shops that provide wrap-around resources and supports for families before they find themselves in crisis and during crisis. Empower Somerset was proud to be the recipient of the DCF grant to open the very first, and only, Family Success Center for Somerset County. ​

The Pioneer Family Success Center (FSC) is a community-based, family-centered, neighborhood gathering place where any community resident can go for family support, information, and referral to services. The mission of the Pioneer FSC is to provide an environment to strengthen and empower  individuals and families, and to build connections among families and the community.  Conveniently located in downtown Somerville, the Pioneer FSC is easily accessible on foot, by car, and via public transportation.

Everything offered at the Pioneer FSC is FREE. The Family Success Center works collaboratively with various community partners t bring together resources and activities into an integrated services system. The Pioneer FSC provides:

• Parent Education & Life Skills Training 

• Information and Referral Services 

• Housing-Related Services 

• Advocacy and Support/Self-Help Groups

• Bilingual Staff
