The Somerset County Council for Young Children (SCCYC) is one of the PIONEER FSC's programs that includes members of the community, such as parents, educators, caregivers,and healthcare professionals who focus on identifying needs or gaps within the community
for children birth to 8 years old.
We currently have two committees:
The Education Committee
Focuses on issues related to early childhood education,
special needs and sports and recreational activities.
The Health and Community Resources Committee
focuses on issues related to health,
social services and basic needs.
The committees meet monthly and everyone who lives within the Somerset County are welcome and encouraged to participate
